Grammar

How it works

When you click a word, the popup shows any grammar it detects. Postpositions, verb tenses, compound verbs, particles. Over 100 grammar points are covered.

All of this runs in your browser using the word's inflection tags and context. No server calls, no waiting.

Grammar tags in the popup

Grammar tags show up as colored chips below the word. Click any chip to go to a detail page with a full explanation and examples.

The labels use plain English. "Completed" instead of "perfective aspect," "subject form" instead of "nominative case." You don't need a linguistics background to understand them.

Grammar pages

The Grammar section (in the sidebar or at /grammar) lists every grammar point by category.

Each page has a description and interactive Hindi examples. Click any word in the examples to look it up, just like on a regular page.
