Use Desi Lingo however you want. You don't have to mine sentences or review on Anki. But if you want to get serious, here's the flow we recommend:

   Import your existing vocabulary (optional)

   Already been studying Hindi? Import your words from Anki decks, CSV files, or plain text so Desi Lingo knows what you already know. Go to My Words > Import in the dashboard.

   Browse Hindi content and mine sentences

   Parse any webpage, watch YouTube/Netflix/Prime with interactive subtitles. Click words to look them up and hit Mine to save sentences you want to remember.

   Download Anki + the Desi Lingo add-on

   Anki is a free flashcard app that uses spaced repetition. The Desi Lingo add-on syncs your mined cards (with screenshots and audio) straight into Anki.

   Sync your mining deck to Anki

   One click in the add-on pulls all your mined sentences into Anki, ready for review.

   Review daily and watch your Hindi grow

   Spaced repetition does the heavy lifting. A few minutes of Anki reviews per day locks vocabulary into long-term memory.
