जब...तब (When...then)
Paired words — 'when X happens, then Y happens'. Hindi links two halves together
Example
जब वह आएगा, तब बात करेंगे
When he comes, then we'll talk
Usage Notes
Hindi correlatives always come in pairs. The ज- word starts the relative clause, and the corresponding त-/व- word starts the main clause. This pattern repeats across all correlative types: जब/तब, जो/वो, जहाँ/वहाँ, etc.
In casual speech, तब is often replaced with तो: जब तुम आओ तो बताना (when you come, let me know).
